The recipe for a pickled tomato without vinegar is possible for someone not a novelty, but nevertheless I think it is necessary to share it with them. Marinated tomatoes without vinegar are easy to prepare, and maximally retain all of their usefulness. For this recipe, you only need water, tomatoes and salt.


  • Tomatoes;

  • salt.

Proportion of salt and sterilization time: on a 3-liter jar 1 tablespoon - sterilize 50 minutes; on a 2-liter jar 1 dessert spoon - sterilize 40 minutes; on a 1-liter jar 1 teaspoon - sterilize 30 minutes.


Step-by-step recipe for pickled tomatoes without vinegar

  1. Put the tomatoes in the jars, top with a teaspoon of salt.
  2. Banks with tomatoes put in a pan for sterilization, on the bottom of which you must put a rag. This will save us from the occurrence of cracks on the bank. Pour water into the pan, so that it covers 2/3 of the height of the cans.
  3. Pour the tomatoes cold, not boiled water, cover with a lid. Bring the water to a boil, and from the moment of boiling, sterilize precisely following the specified time for sterilization above.
  4. Then, after sterilization, roll the jars immediately, and wrap them until they cool down completely.

Do not worry the pickled tomatoes without vinegar will not explode, the recipe is proven times. It was still used by my grandmother, since with vinegar nothing closed at all.
