I advise not to postpone and already today to cook the most delicious chicken legs with vegetables: a full dish that will give you a feeling of satiety for a long time. Madly I love a variety of recipes with chicken legs, but this one is one of my favorite: you can add vegetables and seasonings to your taste, experiment with different spices. The chicken leg turns tender but at the same time it has a golden crust and perfectly holds the shape. Vegetables are absolutely not boiled, they are practically cooked for a couple because of the lack of a large amount of liquid. I advise you to prepare this stunning dish.
- chicken drumsticks (legs) - 6 pieces;
- potatoes - 5 tubers;
- Bulgarian pepper - 3 pieces;
- fresh tomato - 7 pieces;
- onion - 1 medium head;
- vegetable oil for frying;
- water - 200 milliliters;
- ready seasonings for chicken legs - to taste;
- ready mix of peppers - to taste (if you like spicy dishes);
- or replace the ready-made condiments for chicken with black pepper + salt - for your taste;
- salt, pepper - for vegetables, to taste;
- greens: dill, parsley - decorate before serving.
The most delicious chicken legs with vegetables. Step-by-step recipe
- Let's start with the preparation of chicken legs. Carefully wash them under running water. Wipe paper kitchen towel. You can replace the paper towel on the kitchen waffle, it absorbs moisture perfectly. We just need to get them wet. Next, look at the lower leg and cut off excess pieces of cartilage and hanging skin. We put them on a dish and put it aside.
- If the size of the shanks of the shins is different, use a sharp knife to make a groove on large pieces. So that everything is ready at the same time.
- We send shins into a deep bowl. Add seasoning for chicken legs. The seasoning can be replaced with salt and pepper. Also, you can add to them all kinds of other spices that you have available and according to your taste. Pour a tablespoon of vegetable oil, and mix everything thoroughly.
- Pour a vegetable oil (refined) into a deep saucepan with a thick bottom. You can use whatever you have or like. I prefer to fry in sunflower oil.
- In a well-heated oil send chicken legs. Do not cover with a lid. A little bit of the fire and give a good fry on one side. Then turn over to the other side.
- While everything is fried, cut the onions with semicircles. And put it in the pan to the legs.
- Now we peel the potatoes, cut them not finely: cut them into roast meat. Pieces should be of medium size. When the onion is fried, we put all the potatoes into the pot.
- Further mine and we clean Bulgarian pepper from a fruit stem and seeds. Cut it in half and put it in a saucepan. If you want, you can cut it into four parts.
- Also we will do the same with tomatoes. Mine and cut into two halves. We send it to the pan.
- Since the vegetables we have not yet salted and not peppery, we add salt and pepper to your liking.
- Then pour 200 ml of water, cover with a lid. Reduce the fire to a minimum. In this way, we achieve the effect of a steam bath for vegetables. Do not add more water.
- We check the readiness for potatoes. We pierce it with a knife. If the potatoes are ready, turn off the stove and put aside the pan.
- Spread out portion: in each plate a piece of pepper, potatoes, tomato and chicken leg. We adorn it with finely chopped herbs. We serve everything to the table.
