You open the refrigerator, and there remains the mashed potatoes, there is a bit of minced meat. You start to puzzle over what to cook again for the family for dinner, and here is the answer - we are preparing potato dumplings! A new dish, very tasty and satisfying, and most importantly: you need a minimum set of products, even a morning mashed potatoes will do! The family will appreciate your dish. I guarantee this!



  • potatoes - 400 grams;
  • manga - 2 tablespoons;
  • flour - 1,5 glasses;
  • chicken ground meat - 350 grams;
  • onion - 2 pieces;
  • egg - 1 piece;
  • oil - 50 grams;
  • salt, pepper, spices - to taste;
  • sour cream - to taste.

Potato dumplings. Step-by-step recipe

  1. Peel the boiled potatoes, drain the water and rinse it in a mashed potatoes, cool it. Pour it well so that the potatoes are not liquid.
  2. We add mango, flour, egg, salt and mix well.
  3. Tip: add 2-4 tablespoons of starch in the dough - and it will not creep away when cooking.
  4. Roll the dough in the form of a ball and cover with a food film, leave for 20-25 minutes in a cold place.
  5. 1 Onion twisted in a meat grinder and add to the stuffing, salt, season with spices.
  6. Divide the ball of dough into 4 equal parts and divide each part by 4. You will get 16 pieces.
  7. Form a cake from each piece, place the mince in the middle, then dough it and roll it in the form of a ball.
  8. Throw dumplings in boiling salted water, stir.
  9. Tip: add a couple of spoons of potato starch in the broth (it will look like a liquid jelly) - very tasty
  10. After the balls have floated, boil another 7-10 minutes over medium heat.
  11. Fry 1 onion, cut into half rings, in butter.
  12. Put the ready-made potato dumplings on a plate, on top with a fragrant fried onion and serve with sour cream.
