There are a lot of recipes, it's delicious to cook potatoes in the oven. Here on the YouTube channel video I found another one (I do not remember already what account in my collection of recipes). Baked on this recipe potatoes are very fragrant - thanks to Provencal herbs, juicy (incredible, but it's a fact) and delicious. I prepared it literally in 5 minutes (not including baking, of course). Ate even faster. A simple and quick recipe for potatoes in the oven, I'm sure, will have to taste for many housewives (and not just beginners). Prepare together?


(we take all products for "eye" - based on the number of people in the family)

  • potatoes;

Delicious juicy potatoes in the oven. Step-by-step recipe

  1. Potatoes (it is better to take a medium-sized tuber, for my family of four people they need 2 kilograms) well with a brush (we do not peel the peel). Cut into circles with a thickness of about 0.5 centimeters. We put into deep dishes.
  2. Sprinkle with a mixture of Provencal herbs (I use a seasoning for potatoes, which includes all the spices and salt), salt, pour with vegetable oil (about 0.5 cup) and mix.
  3. We cover the baking tray (broad and with low sides) with parchment paper, spread on all its surface the onion (not very thin), cut into rings, on it we distribute the potatoes (in one layer).
  4. We send the baked in the oven, heated to 180 degrees, for 50-60 minutes.
  5. Ready-baked potatoes are laid out on the plates of plates, decorating (if desired) pickled vegetables.

Some necessary tips how to store, prepare and cook potatoes in the oven:

  • potatoes, cleaned in advance, put in cold water, so as not to darken, but for a short while, otherwise the taste will deteriorate because of starch washing;
  • green and sprouted potatoes peel the skin as thickly as possible (it contains harmful substances), bake and cook such potatoes in a uniform - it is impossible;
  • dishes from potatoes try not to interfere at all, or mix as little as possible, so as not to reduce the content of vitamins;
  • repeated heating and prolonged heating of the potato leads to a deterioration in taste.

I serve potatoes baked in the oven (cooked according to this recipe) with a salad of sauerkraut and beets.


This salad is very popular with children. But it is also suitable for those who follow the figure (sauerkraut + beets - an excellent tool for losing weight).

  • Add 300 grams of sauerkraut half a bulb (cut into small cubes), 1 medium-sized cooked beet, chopped straw, 3 tablespoons sour cream. Try and add salt and sugar (if necessary). Ready dish, before serving, sprinkle with herbs.

  • The amount of products for this salad is arbitrary: everything depends on the size of the portion and your taste. We clean the radish, rub it with chips, salt, put it in a bowl, cover it and thoroughly shake it. We add, chopped finely, onions, cabbage sauerkraut, tomato paste, sour cream. Solim to taste and put sugar. Let's brew for 10-15 minutes: and you can serve on the table.

On a side dish to this tasty and juicy potato, cooked in the oven, you can serve and lightly salted fish, and salted (smoked) fat, and just sauerkraut with oil. It all depends on your taste preferences. Potatoes baked in the oven - delicious already in itself.
