On a tour in the monastery, I tried a lean chocolate mannik. I was amazed that he had absolutely no eggs and no milk. This is an amazing dish: very delicate, lush, insanely delicious. This cake! I managed to get a recipe for this miracle product. And today I want to tell you how to cook lean chocolate manicure at home. I make this cake very often, not even during the period of fasting. The best part is that it is absolutely simple and economical in cooking. And you will soon see this in person.


  • manga - 230 grams;
  • flour - 70 grams;
  • sugar - 200 grams;
  • cocoa - 60 grams;
  • salt - 0.5 teaspoonful;
  • baking powder - 1 teaspoon (with a slide);
  • sunflower oil - 90 milliliters;
  • water - 400 milliliters;
  • cherry seedless - 50-100 grams.

For chocolate glaze:

  • cocoa - 3 tablespoons;
  • water - 8 tablespoons;
  • sugar - 2 tablespoons;
  • vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon.

Lenten chocolate manicure. Step-by-step recipe

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients: semolina, sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. We mix everything well.
  2. In a dry mass, add refined vegetable oil, water and knead the dough. Recommendation for the addition of water - pour it not all at once, but in small portions, for 2-3 meals - this is so that no lumps are formed, and the dough was homogeneous. As a result, we should get a beautiful brown mass, in consistency, like a pancake (maybe a little thicker).
  3. Leave the dough to stand and rest for 15-20 minutes.
  4. The form for baking is greased with vegetable oil. I used a shape with a diameter of 27 centimeters.
  5. Pour half of the chocolate dough, level with a spatula or spoon, on top of it we spread cherry berries without pits. You can also use any other (canned, frozen, washed fresh), just lightly dry them on a towel.
  6. Gently pour the second half of the dough and level it.
  7. We put in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Time depends on the oven and on the diameter of the mold - the smaller the diameter, the more time it will take to bake, because the thickness of the chocolate mannika will increase. Also: since my oven is slightly baking the bottom of the items, I put a bowl of water on the bottom of the oven. And everything is baked in me evenly, it does not burn. If you also have the same problem, use my advice.
  8. For chocolate glaze: соединить какао-порошок, сахар, растительное масло и воду, хорошо перемешать и поставить на небольшой огонь. Варить, постоянно помешивая, до появления первых бульков. Снять с огня и немного остудить.
