Very often on the pages of the Internet, a culinary magazine or culinary newspapers you can see a classic recipe: a cake "Potato". Chocolate cake is well known to me from childhood. It is loved not only by children, but also by adults. Such sweetness can be bought in confectioneries, but a chocolate cake cooked at home is much tastier. And we can say that this is an instant cake. A tender, fragrant, sweet vanilla "potato" just melts in the mouth.

Ingredients:

  • vanilla;
  • biscuit crumb - 150 grams;
  • powdered sugar - 30 grams;
  • cocoa - 1-3 tablespoons;
  • milk - 70 grams;
  • butter - 50 grams;

Cake "Potato". Step-by-step recipe

  1. For the preparation of cake potatoes, you can use biscuit (or biscuit cuttings), biscuits or homemade biscuits. Today we will prepare sweet potatoes from biscuit (I used chocolate biscuit).
  2. Sponge cake and grind in a blender to a fine crumb (instead of a blender, you can use a coffee grinder or even a mortar to simply wipe the dry biscuit).
  3. Crushed biscuit pour into a bowl, add cocoa, 30 grams of powdered sugar (and here there is such a small nuance: if you make a "potato" of biscuit - 30 grams of powder will be enough, but if you cook from biscuits, then you need to take grams of grams 70), a piece of soft butter, crushed walnuts. All mix well.
  4. Milk at room temperature pour a thin trickle into the biscuit, add the vanilla and knead well. The mixture for the cake should keep the shape.
  5. Roll the cakes in the form of potatoes (or koloboks - choose the size at your discretion, I roll small balls, then they keep the shape well and potatoes can be taken by hand).
  6. Sweet dessert can be left as it is, but you can roll in crumbs of biscuit (or in vanilla sugar, and you can mix crumbs with cocoa or cocoa with sugar).
  7. Put the potatoes on a beautiful flat dish, sprinkled with powdered sugar (since the dessert is such that it does not completely cover the dishes on which it will be served, it is better to take the dish beautifully, so as to aesthetically arrange the feed).
  8. Before serving, put the cake in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Advice: if your basis for "Potato" cakes consists of cookies, then there is no need to buy beautiful and expensive cookies for this purpose. Best (and more economical) will use the simplest cookies. And if it's from croutons, it's best to take croutons at home.
