Cake "eskimo"


I offer you a delicious cake "Eskimo", looking at which, and I want to eat a piece. When I tried this incredibly tasty dessert, I simply did not believe that it was cooked at home, so beautiful, airy and festive. Such a cake will be the center of any festive table. The recipe is very simple. Try it!



  • sugar - 2.5 cups;
  • flour - 1,5 glasses;
  • eggs - 6 pieces;
  • milk - 1 glass;
  • butter - 300 grams;
  • sour cream - 2 tablespoons;
  • cocoa - 4 tablespoons;
  • water - 0.5 cup;
  • soda - 0.5 teaspoonful;
  • vanilla - 1 teaspoon;
  • vegetable oil for lubrication.

Cake "Eskimo". Step-by-step recipe

  1. We will prepare the dough first. To do this, we need 4 eggs to break and separate the proteins from the yolks. Whip yolks with one glass of sugar. Then add soda, a tablespoon of cocoa and vanillin. Proteins, too, whisk to a thick foam, add in yolks, mix, in this homogeneous mass, add one glass of flour.
  2. Set the oven 180 degrees. Take a suitable baking dish and oil it. Pour the dough into a mold and cook it for 40 minutes.
  3. The remaining 2 eggs in a container with high sides, in the same place, pour the rest of the sugar and half a cup of flour.
  4. Blend well with a mixer and add warm milk. Stir. Put the mixed ingredients on the fire, let it leave for one minute. Remove from the fire and let it cool.
  5. When the mixture has cooled, add warm oil to it, not everything, only 250 grams. All is well mixed until homogeneous.
  6. For a beautiful design let's make an appetizing glaze. In a glass of sugar, add cocoa and sour cream. All mix and put on a small fire. When it boils, remove from heat. For the fullness of the glaze, add butter 100 grams. Stir and let cool.
  7. When the cake is ready and cooled, grease it with cream and for half an hour in the refrigerator. When the cream seizes, remove the cake and grease the glaze. And again in the fridge, in order to get a good soak.
